Observation Narrative
A 1.6 ac (0.64 ha) sinkhole pond, extensively damaged around the perimeter and in eastern half by past ATV use. The plot is positioned in western portion that is intact, except for 3-4 short ruts. Vegetation is herbaceous with low Diospyros seedlings and saplings thinly invading. The vegetation is relatively dense for this habitat type, and includes a large population of the rare sinkhole pond endemic, Helenium virginicum.
